Evening MBA:

Although some evening students earn their degree in less than three years, students typically take between three and four years to complete the program.

Executive MBA:

True business success depends on key leaders having the strategic skills and vision necessary to attain organizational and personal goals. The Executive MBA (EMBA) Program at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business provides executives with the necessary tools and perspectives to lead their organizations into the future. The program’s highly applied curriculum is built around a unique blend of analytical foundations, solution-based courses and action learning opportunities:

• Its intense focus on leadership emphasizes the development of leaders capable of solving real-world business challenges.

Global MBA:

The Ross Global MBA is designed to offer companies an opportunity to educate the managers targeted to lead their company into the future. At Ross, they clearly understand the educational needs of companies and their experienced managers. In addition to a solid MBA curriculum, managers expect diverse opportunities and best-of-class training in all disciplines — from finance and marketing, to corporate strategy and entrepreneurial studies. They expect to have the opportunity to develop a personal network with elite managers from major international firms as well as with the Ross faculty. Likewise, they expect to be exposed to global perspectives and trends shared by both the faculty and classmates.

The Global MBA Program is carefully designed to meet these expectations by offering a balance of core skills, intellectual capital, and action-based learning to those managers who have won the support of their company.

Master of Accounting (MAcc):

The Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan has earned accolades for its unsurpassed innovation. Drawing on this long tradition of academic excellence, Ross is proud to offer a ten-month Master of Accounting (MAcc) program. In the forefront of accounting education, the Ross MAcc starts with superb academics across the board, drawing on a long tradition of building faculty excellence in every business function, not just accounting. Integration with every core business discipline is a defining characteristic of the Ross MAcc.

The MAcc Program builds upon that heritage and provides the necessary tools and experiences a student will need to compete in tomorrow’s profession and to support a lifelong career. For you, this means an opportunity to be associated with Michigan’s Ross School of Business, widely known for its tradition of excellence, through a program designed to meet exacting standards and your professional aspirations.

Master of Supply Chain Management:

Companies are increasingly looking for innovative leaders with the vision and skill to
manage their supply chains.
The global supply chain is as much about moving information and services as it is
about moving goods. Moving customer account data from Mumbai to New York requires
as much competent supply chain management as does moving microprocessors from
Phoenix to Berlin. The supply chain embraces the entire life cycle of goods and services.

It touches every function of global commerce. Business leaders view it as the central
nervous system of the world economy.
Supply chain management encompasses marketing, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics,
inventory management, and information technology and customer relations. It’s about the
people, processes and technology that propel products through the global economy. No
wonder supply chain management has become a key component of business strategy.

http://www.bus.umich.edu/Admissions/MSCM/WhySupplyChain.htm

PhD Program:

Their Ph.D. Program accomplishes its goal of educating students for academic research careers in the field of business—typically as faculty in leading business schools—through coursework and directed research.
In keeping with the school’s overall core values and strategy, the Doctoral Program has its foundation in:

• The generation of broad-based intellectual capital with impact
• Innovative educational experiences
• Co-creation opportunities with students as active participants
• Connecting theory and practice with action-based learning

http://www.bus.umich.edu/Academics/Phd/About/ProgramStructure.htm

Executive Education:

Michigan Executive Education offers a comprehensive management development program to accelerate the growth of key executives and prepare them for leadership positions. Business Acumen for High-Potential Leaders offers a unique opportunity to acquire the business acumen skill set and gain an enterprise-wide perspective on the competitive challenges of today’s business environment.

High-potential leaders have already displayed an aptitude for business, but their business knowledge may be incomplete or lacking the connections across functions. They have successfully demonstrated leadership qualities, but have not yet developed the management skills to lead a larger, more diverse operation. And they have participated in planning activities, but not as the visionary leader who is expected to guide the future direction of the firm.

These are the qualities that distinguish the Kellogg School MBA graduate. Taught by a world-class, research-based faculty, and supported by a network of 50,000 alumni globally, today’s students continue the legacy that began when the school was founded at Northwestern University in 1908. Part Time Program:

The Kellogg School’s Part-Time MBA Program in downtown Chicago offers top-quality academics, award winning faculty, networking opportunities, top classmates from varied professions and sense of community that exist only in Kellogg MBA programs. The Kellogg part-time programs also offer schedules, either evening or Saturday, that are designed to meet the needs of working professionals. Indeed, many students say they were drawn to the Kellogg part-time program because the class material is directly applicable to their job, and they can earn a Kellogg MBA without forgoing two years of work experience and advancement with their current employer. Students enrolled in the part-time program gain from exposure to an outstanding faculty with a reputation for scholarly achievement and consulting expertise, and from interaction with fellow students. These exposures and interactions combine with the academic curriculum to help students develop the insight and capacity to make on-the-job contributions that lead to executive responsibility.

http://www.kellogg.northwestern.edu/parttime/index.htm

Doctoral Program:

The principal objective of the Kellogg School’s doctoral program is to train men and women for academic positions in universities where they will create and communicate new knowledge. Doctoral students are provided with the skills necessary to succeed as scholars: the ability to think critically, facility with rigorous research methods, knowledge of the relevant questions in their field and the motivation to continue learning throughout their career.
Kellogg seeks candidates who have a willingness and desire to do scholarly research. A previously earned graduate degree or work experience is not required for admission. Most students finish their PhD in four to five years of full-time study, making this course of study a serious commitment. Part-time or distance-learning study is not available.

http://www.kellogg.northwestern.edu/doctoral/index.htm

Undergraduate Programs:

The Kellogg School of Management’s Certificate Program for Undergraduates addresses these needs, aligning business requirements with the exceptional talents of Northwestern University students. The program is open to Northwestern juniors and seniors — regardless of their school or major — who have strengths in mathematics and analysis and a grounding in the liberal arts, including students in Northwestern’s highly regarded math and engineering programs. The certificate program’s distinctive four-course curriculum develops students’ critical thinking and business applications skills with a foundation in the quantitative analysis that underlies all strategic business decisions. Analytical models taught in the program can be applied to business scenarios such as mergers and acquisitions, valuation, asset management, new products, strategy formulation, supply chain design, and pricing.

http://www.kellogg.northwestern.edu/certificate/index.htm

Executive Education:

Executive MBA Program:

Executive MBA students complete two years of study in general management, leading to an MBA degree. The program serves mid-career executives who have at least 8-10 years of managerial experience, as well as senior executives who wish to enhance their skills and leadership effectiveness. A majority of their students have an average of 12-15 years of work experience.
Teamwork is the hallmark of the Kellogg Executive MBA (EMBA) experience, both in and out of the classroom.

Placements and Recruiters:

MBA Career Services’ aim is to help companies solve their recruitment needs by connecting them with the ideal student profiles in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. We do this by developing corporate relations, organizing events on campus and facilitating the recruiting process.
Whether you are a long-time recruiter at IESE or are thinking of recruiting for the first time, it is essential to take into account that many students will be hearing about your company for the first time. With this in mind, MBA Career Services organizes a series of recruiting events on campus which provide companies with the opportunity to directly present themselves, describe their career opportunities and meet students.

On-campus events include the Career Forum and Company Presentations. With the aim of enhancing interchange between companies and the students, MBA Career Services organizes logistics for these events including advertising, booking facilities, coordinating interview schedules or setting up networking events with students.

For companies not able to participate in the Career Forum or Career Days, MBA Career Services can also organize individual company presentations. These are open to both first and second-year students and give students the opportunity to learn about the company, its business activities, and career opportunities, openings available and specific details on the selection and recruitment processes for both summer internships and full placement. MBA Career Services can also coordinate the process of scheduling student interviews.

Should companies need to, MBA Career Services can organize a cocktail reception where students can network with the company’s employees and IESE alumni working there in a more relaxed atmosphere.

Full Time Program:

The HKUST MBA curriculum is designed to develop your ability to operate successfully in a global economy, and manage effectively in the Asian context. There are two main components: required cores (~60%) and advanced electives (~40%). We also provide three areas of concentration for those who want to specialize.
Required Cores

The required cores cover areas in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Operation Management, Organization Behavior, Strategy, Communications, Business Laws and Ethics. They are arranged in three tiers – foundation function, and integration – to provide a foundation for further study in chosen areas.

Advanced Electives
Advanced electives comprise over 40% of the HKUST MBA curriculum, allowing participants to strengthen their expertise in particular areas of interest.

Executive MBA program:

The Kellogg–HKUST Executive MBA program is a premium educational experience devoted to upgrading executives’ knowledge and management skills. The program encourages participants to think differently, look at their operations in a new way and relentlessly question and challenge.

It is tailor made for senior executives in Asia who have attained positions of leadership in their organizations. It helps them to raise the bar and understand the challenges ahead in a global context.

Organized in short but intensive modules, participants take two courses each month. Courses cut across traditional subject areas, providing tools and techniques for solving complex managerial problems. Emphasis is on three specific areas of management skills:

• Behavior in learning organizations
• International management
• Managing groups of co-operating firms for international competitiveness

International Executive MBA Program:

The International EMBA (IEMBA) program offered by the HKUST Business School, attracts senior executives from Asia, in particular the Greater China area, who, with diverse cultural background and in-depth knowledge of their own unique business environments, exchange their views on topics of common interest while learning from the School’s internationally recognized scholars.

The 15-month IEMBA program’s classes take place in different locations in China, including Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Hainan and Shenzhen. It is an inspiring and exciting learning experience that will empower senior executives in Chinese firms or MNCs, with state-of-the-art business and management knowledge that has immediate applications at work.

If you are a senior corporate leader, ready for challenge and on the move to the next level, then the HKUST IEMBA Program will be your best and ultimate choice.

M.Sc in Management:

Four specialized masters’ programs are offered by the School. They are the:
MSc in Economics
MSc in Financial Analysis, Investment Management
MSc in Information Systems Management
MS in Global Finance – in partnership with the NYU Stern School of Business

Ph.D in Management:

The PhD programs are designed to enable students to gain a deep knowledge of management in general, and courses with concentration in a specialized field, and to provide opportunities for the student to do original, fundamental research in his/her specialized field. Thus, the first two years of the programs will normally be devoted to coursework, leading to the major field examination and a research paper. After that, the student will begin to write the thesis.

Each doctoral student works with an academic advisor to design a program of study that reflects the student’s interests. Course work requirements depend on the background and areas of concentration of the student. The student must also pass a qualifying examination, then write and orally defend a thesis.
