SCHOOL COMMENTS

School Comments:

One look at the MBA-Global Management Course Bulletin proves just how serious Thunderbird is about teaching you to view business and its interactions from a global perspective. Every course offers a truly global focus. It’s not just marketing, but global marketing. Not just business strategy, but global strategy. Every single course serves the dual function of preparing you not just for business — but for business on an international scale. The Thunderbird MBA-GM includes a global entrepreneurship course and five courses on professional development. Experience international business, government and culture firsthand. Develop cross-cultural sensitivities and soft skills you never would have considered. Your curriculum is based on Thunderbird’s five underlying core beliefs: * Global Learning Network * Global Entrepreneurship * Global Mindset * Global Citizenship * Global Thought Leadership Together they add up to the Thunderbird difference. A curriculum that continues to evolve to meet today’s global management and business challenges. Experience it at your own pace — traditional or accelerated. But experience it. It will change how you view your future, your career, your world.

Thunderbird isnt for everyone, because not everyone is looking to work in global business. But for those who do, I would highly recommend it. — Finance

The career resources/career management staff is horrible. They seem more interested in statics rather than individuals, thus they spend most of their time helping people who already have a good chance of getting jobs rather than harder cases. — Consulting

Thunderbird has an excellent reputation among those who know of it, but awareness of the school is lower than I would like it to be. — Finance

I have too much experience (10 years) to be fully challenged by the MBA program. I learned good information, but felt that the teachings were lost in busy work and not a lot of core group discussions in class. The international experience and cultural activities are important, but most international students lacked work ethic. — Consulting

Thunderbird graduates find it more difficult to get a high-profile job initially due to ignorance of the companies that pay more attention to brands, like Harvard, rather than people. — Consulting

Thunderbird is off the beaten path, and unfortunately not a lot of people from my hometown know about it. But it is like a hidden gem. — Operations

The diversity of the student body is incredible and those in the alumni network are mostly willing to help out students in any way possible. — Operations

Thunderbird excels at teaching the soft skills required for the complex global business world – these are lessons that will last a career. — Investment Banking

Many of my peers in my class had, in my opinion, not adequate work experience (i.e., 1-2 years). That detracts from the education level in the classroom, which in the long term leads to the devaluation of the Thunderbird MBA brand. — Marketing

Thunderbird is a good school, the administration and career services office over-sells and under-delivers. — Marketing

Thunderbird is a unique business school with a truly global mindset, diverse student body, world-class faculty, strong focus on social responsibility, and an unparalleled alumni network. Thunderbird has opened up a new world of opportunities for me in a way which I do not feel any other MBA program could. — Entrepreneurship

Thunderbird does more than just teach its students out of a text book. From international semesters abroad to two week winterims experiencing the business environment of another region, their MBA students have ample opportunity to gain valuable instruction through first hand experience. — Marketing

I am impressed that a second language is part of the requirements to graduate. On campus, you get to work with students from all over the world, and learn how business is conducted in their countries. It feels like you are at the U.N. — Marketing

The student body at thunderbird was wonderful and the international exposure was top notch, both from students and programs through the school. — Finance

Most recruiters come here for marketing, primarily international (and domestic) brand management. If this is your dream job, then I highly recommend the program. If your focus is on finance, there may be better programs to apply to. — Finance

Thunderbird is self-selective, and for the right person – internationally minded, risk taker, adventurous, analytical, smart, and culturally intelligent – this place is heaven. — Operations

There are a few areas of needed improvement, such as better attitudes of staff members and more placement help from career management, but overall I am very satisfied and would highly recommend Thunderbird. — Marketing

SCHOOL COMMENTS

School Comments:

The Simon experience is absolutely top-notch. It is a world-class education, with a small enough group of students that you can really get to know them, the faculty and staff get to know you, and you have ample opportunities to network with and benefit from a dedicated group of successful alumni. The quantitative rigor of the program is excellent preparation for careers in business, and the core courses are geared toward preparing rising talent for today’s challenges facing general management. — Marketing

Despite being small in size, Simon has been able to attract students with very accomplished and diverse educational and professional backgrounds. Combine this student body with the first-class faculty we have in the areas of finance, marketing and operations, any student will receive an education inside and outside of the classroom that is second to none. — Finance

University of Rochester places great emphasis on research and academics but fails in the one aspect that matters most to students: Finding a competitive JOB!! The recruiters they line up are sub par and the career management center is a joke – they are either lazy or incompetent compared to other schools who rank lower than this school. — Finance

Simon has excellent professors, and I couldn’t imagine getting a better finance education anywhere else, but I’d be hard-pressed to recommend that someone come here unless this was the best (highest ranked) school they could get into. I say that because it’s just too hard to get an internship or job in any facet of investment banking (research, sales/trading, investment banking) or asset management coming from Simon. Those who did, including myself, had to work extremely hard to get the positions we did. And, we had to create those opportunities ourselves. Our CMC provided minimal assistance. I’m pretty sure the job and internship search process isn’t as hard at schools with higher rankings. — Investment Banking
The education I received was top notch and the alumni network was very tight-knit and supportive. — Marketing

The Simon School’s class size is small and it allows the students to have a lot of face time with professors and career management staff. Additionally, I am much more capable to tackle real-life business decisions than I was before I began my MBA program. — Operations

When I speak with friends and colleagues from other top programs, I find that my knowledge of corporate finance is often superior to theirs. Simon has given me the confidence and analytical strength to handle any problem at the corporate level, and I am very glad that I chose to study there. — Finance

I’m certain that the MBA will have allowed me to progress my career further in the long run than if I had not done it. I also feel much more prepared to enter the workplace and successfully contribute. — Consulting

Simon School is unable to attract recruiters to its campus for recruitment. Despite the school’s proximity to NYC and Boston, the school is relatively unknown to recruiters. Career Services staff at school is ineffective and does not engage potential recruiters actively through the alumni network. Recruitment opportunities are virtually non-existent at the school. Every year, on an average, only 50% of the students are able to secure job placements by the time of graduation. — Finance

The international diversity, faculty/student interaction, and rigorous academic curriculum is outstanding. — Finance

While I may not have chosen Simon initially, I can sit here today and say it was the best two years of my life, both academically and professionally. The school taught me the fundamentals of business and then kept challenging me to apply them. In addition, I was given the opportunity to demonstrate my ability to lead others. The ranking of the best business school is not, and should never be about test scores or starting salaries. The measure of a business school should be where its graduates are 5, 10, 15 and 20 years after they graduate. While our alumni base is small, it should be noted that we occupy very senior management positions in some of the largest and most well-respected companies in the world. — Finance

Small size and exceptional professors allow great learning. Our Career Management Center has ample resources and a very personal staff dedicated to success. My counselor and I developed a relationship in which she nearly cried at both my graduation and my offer. The Dean of our school personally worked with my on developing my network and career path. — Consulting

One needs to be very proactive, forthcoming, persistent and determined as far as networking and getting job in the industry and role one desires, especially so if you are a career changer. So, I think it is not a school for people who give up early or are distracted with issues like bad economy, lesser alums, etc. Persistence and determination is the key here. — Consulting

Simon teaches students to think through decisions that will add value to an organization. Plus, Simon has powerful professors who enable and empower students to think economically. Students walk away from Simon with the thinking tools that will help innovate their careers and industry. — Finance

If my friends or colleagues are interested in studying finance, I don’t think there is a better program in the world than Simon. If they are more interested in general management, I would suggest they consider other options. — Finance

I would advise my friends or colleagues to attend the Simon School. However, due to the large international population, I would warn domestic students that they would be bearing a much heavier workload compared to the international counterparts. — Accounting

I believe that Simon get you ready for the business world. — Marketing

The experience at Simon was exactly what I had expected it would be. The class size and faculty accessibility provided for a very unique and personal MBA experience. — Consulting

I loved my experience here at Simon and I would do it all over again. — Marketing

Simon School needs to overhaul its career services department. Alumni from Simon School show little to no interest in helping out the school with their contacts within their respective industries. Dean of Simon School is not aggressive in engaging the senior alumni. I would discourage an international student from applying to Simon School because of the incredibly bleak job opportunities. — Finance

SCHOOL COMMENTS

School Comments:

Given Purdue’s quality of education, and their willingness to give scholarships, I would absolutely encourage enrollment. – Information Technology

It is the best value for your money. Outstanding faculty, ample networking and leadership building opportunities, close knit student family, high level of student – faculty interaction. – Operations

Purdue has very good reputation in Korea, especailly because of its strong engineering fields. So, it is well known to many manufacturing companies like Samsung Electronics and Hyundai Motor Company. So, if any Koreans have engineering background and want MBA degree, I think Krannert School is one of best options. – Finance

Relatively low living expenses but good living condition is a good reason to choose Purdue. You can find everywhere very friendly people who are willing to help international students. – Finance

I recommend Krannert for the small class size, facilities, faculty, quality of involvement available to students, exposure to top companies in all fields, up and coming school, best quantative focus and business understanding – Marketing

I came into business school with a very good idea of what I wanted to do and very small list of employers in which I was interested in working for. I obtained offers from the two at the top of my list. I really believe that I am walking away with a great group of friends/network. – Consulting

The professors, access to the University and extracurriculars were excellent, as well as many opportunities for hands-on application of the academics. The quality of my education and business school experience in the program matched or exceeded that of fellow interns from top schools (Duke, UIC, Harvard). – Entrepreneurship

Good value for money. Solid faculty members & solid instructional methodology. Placements and success in the program largely depends on how you best make use of opportunities.–Consulting

The program was less expensive, generous in financial assistance (scholarship, assistantship), and had great faculty, excellent experiential learning opportunities, and strong employer relations.– Finance

The small class size provides ample opportunity for learning, leadership experience, and networking. — Marketing

Fisher truly delivers on its promise of the benefits of a small class size without sacrificing the access to an excellent recruiter base. — Marketing

Over the past 18 months, I have learned from world-renown faculty, interacted with senior leadership at Fortune 500 companies and start-ups, and networked with a tight-knit group of MBA’s. Ive also had access to the entire Ohio State University community for programming and additional classes. I couldn’t imagine having gone to another program. — Consulting

Because Fisher is a small program, some classes have limited availability. — Finance

The regional recruiting base meant that students looking for careers outside the Midwest had to work extra hard on their own, which was the case for me. But the raw resources were available to achieve the ends I sought. — Consulting

Having lived in Ohio prior to starting my MBA, I am proud to be enrolled in Ohio’s most prestigious and highest-ranked MBA program. My ability to qualify for in-state tuition and some financial assistance over and above that has made this degree very affordable with an incredible ROI, in terms of salary and other professional benefits. — Marketing

I did not have a business background prior to attending b-school, and I also knew I would be pursuing a non-traditional career path: HR in the non-profit sector. Fisher allowed me to customize my curriculum and take classes outside the business college. — Nonprofit

The faculty was outstanding. A review of their resumes will reveal excellent experience and alumni from the top business schools in the world. — Finance

Some professors are not very good at teaching, and some students did not display the kind of behavior you’d expect to see at an MBA school (i.e., no sense of responsibility). Fisher also recruited many students who did not have work experience. — Operations

School has diversity but lacks inclusion. Many minority and international students felt they did not fit in due to lack of inclusion from domestic students, which is mostly made up of Ohio residents. — Operations

Fisher’s association with Ohio State is a major asset, as every corner of the world has an OSU alum who will warmly welcome a contact from another Buckeye. This is a treasure many “larger” programs can’t truly boast about. — Information Technology

The program is very nicely structured and classes are good, but some of the admission focus is shifting to young and very young students being admitted to the course with minimal experience, which can lead to immature class behavior. — Consulting

Although I had some issues and was to some degree a problem child, the Fisher faculty stuck with me. I wouldn’t trade that environment for the world. — Marketing

Of all the schools that I applied to, Ohio State was the most welcoming. Schools that I had interviewed at were disrespectful to me if they thought I didn’t fit into their mold. Ohio State valued the unique qualities and experiences I brought to the table. — Finance

The school needs more diversity in the companies that recruit here. Nearly everyone is from the Midwest. — Marketing

SCHOOL COMMENTS

School Comments:

N/A

The quality of the education, the school’s rank, and the very powerful alumni and local business network make this school an ideal place to pursue an MBA. Its got great relations with companies like Best Buy, Target, Northwest Airlines, General Mills, Carlson Companies, Anderson Windows, and 3M. — Finance

The Carlson student body is composed of very bright, highly energetic people, many of whom passed on more prestigious schools. This makes for very interesting and beneficial learning opportunities, both inside the classroom and out. — Investment Banking

The brand name of the school is stronger regionally than nationally. — Marketing

Carlson has a very solid program with a strong marketing department, notably in pricing and brand management. The unique Carlson Enterprises program offers the incomparable opportunity to provide paid consulting services to companies like United Health, Best Buy, Target, and 3M. — Marketing

A Carlson MBA is an excellent value, providing an good education at a state-school price. It has outstanding relationships with local companies, where it competes with top 10 schools. — Consulting

I learned a heck of a lot in the MBA program, and enjoyed it a great deal. But I have had an exceedingly difficult time getting employment in my chosen field, and the MBA simply is not opening the doors I expected it to. — Marketing

The Minneapolis business community is vibrant and plays a big part in recruiting from Carlson; however, it is hard to get jobs outside of the Minnesota. — Information Technology

Carlson has a strong history and focus on social responsibility through the Graduate Volunteer Consultants, Net Impact, and the Microfinance alliance. Having an opportunity to give back and work in a business and non-profit community on a volunteer basis is something that I’ll take with me into my professional career. — Consulting

The culture of the school breeds a sense of community rather than individualistic competition. — Marketing

Theres an incredible opportunity to develop and carry out research. I traveled to Cuba under an academic license to study American brands in the Cuban gray market. — Marketing

Great program for marketers. Its more difficult if you want a job outside Minneapolis community, but still possible. — Marketing

I am interested in a non-traditional career, and I think the school could do a better job connecting students to small businesses, start-ups and non-profits in the area. Carlson has strong relationships with the many large companies in the Twin Cities, which is beneficial to most students. But a growing number of us are looking for a different kind of experience after graduation and there seem to be few resources to help us explore alternative possibilities. — Finance

I think that the camaraderie built between the 120 students in my graduating class is one of the most important aspects to my education at Carlson. The learning atmosphere is incredible. — Marketing

The difference between Carlson MBAs and MBAs from higher-ranked schools is that we don’t walk around all day telling ourselves how great we are. Instead, we focus on delivering effective results and fostering a great collaborative environment. — Marketing

The students that run the growth and fixed-income funds at Carlson beat their benchmarks by a significant amount each year. It is amazing to me that the school has not been able to promote these results more and start getting its students into higher profile positions at investment banks and asset management companies. — Finance

SCHOOL COMMENTS

School Comments:

N/A

The faculty in finance is excellent. The MBA was a great investment just for getting the knowledge and the MBA experience (team-building, leadership skills, consulting projects, summer internship, China trip, semester in Europe). However, the career services was not good. — Finance

It is a program with a great community spirit. Faculty and staff are very approachable and eager to help. During my internship search, I went to visit a company and a staff member let me stay at her father-in-law’s house. — Marketing

The school is not as competitive as I wished and the location makes job search a challenge. — Operations

I believe I received a solid foundation in finance and marketing at the University of Iowa, thus I would recommend the school to friends interested in business. — Information Technology

The school is extremely good for someone who is interested in a Finance concentration like myself. With top class faculty and facilities and a good alumni network in various finance companies, it is possible to develop a thorough knowledge base and to find an appropriate job where one can apply such knowledge. — Finance

Due to the small class sizes in the Iowa MBA program few recruiters come to campus. You really have to work hard on your own to get interviews. For this reason, I would not recommend the school to everyone as some people like to sit back and think career services will do all the work. — Finance

The school is fantastic, and the best investment I’ve ever made. The faculty and administration truly care about the students. — Finanace

Iowa MBA is strong in terms of academic education, facility, however the school does need strengthen its connections with business world. The location is considered a minus mainly because there is no airport hub. — Marketing

They have a great marketing program and with some of the upcoming changes to the course structure, I think the program will be even better. — Marketing

The University of Iowa provides a great MBA at a very affordable price. My salary increased by 86% when comparing before and after this program! — Human Resources

Some of the things that stand out at Tippie are: Exceptional faculty, small class strength and financial aid. — Finance

The MBA at the University of Iowa is a high-quality degree. The program offers opportunities to be involved in many student activities, meet high-profile CEOs, and is small enough to offer each student personal attention in academics, the career search and with guest speakers. — Marketing

This is by far the best return on investment of any business school in existance. I have already asked friends, former coworkers, and new acquaintences with academic and business potential to apply to the Henry B. Tippie School of Management. I wouldn’t have traded this experience for one at any other school. — Marketing

My experience at the University of Iowa was excellent. The relatively small class size made the interaction with professors and fellow-students very strong. Existence of extremely good courses in Finance. — Finance

The University of Iowa MBA program may be one of the best-kept secrets out there in the MBA world. The teaching and career services office are outstanding. The main downside is the lack of many MBA career opportunities in the immediate area, leading to less on-campus recruiting and long trips for interviews. — Finance

SCHOOL COMMENTS

School Comments:

From consulting to consumer products, our graduates join some of the most recognized companies around the world. They work at BearingPoint, Procter & Gamble, AT&T, IBM, Samsung and Walgreens to name a few. That is what the right school can do for you. At the Illinois MBA we pride ourselves on bringing out your best assets and giving you the right resources to succeed. We do this by offering: * Integrated curriculum * Illinois Business Consulting (IBC) * Optimal class size and technology * World-class, accessible faculty * Career Services Partnership * Internationally recognized university

I made an amazing intellectual, professional and matural transformation due to the University of Illinois MBA program. While every program has its shortcomings, the positives far outwayed the negatives. — Marketing

Dean of MBA program lacks vision, Career Service not experienced, Too hard for an international student to find job. — Finance

The MBA program itself is struggling. It lacks adequate leadership from both the Dean of the MBA program and the Dean of the College of Business. The Dean of the College of Business has made it clear that the MBA program was not a priority for him. As such, the program has suffered due to a large number of deficiencies. — Consulting

The IMBA does not have a well-rounded curriculum – there are only a few classes offered per concentration per semester. Moreover, there are strict guidelines placed on concentrations and classes one must take. — Marketing

I really enjoyed my program and would highly recommend it to not just my friends but to anyone who is interested. — Marketing

My MBA experience at Illinois MBA was a rewarding one. I grew so much both professionally and personally. I learnt from my classmates as much as I did from my professors. — Consulting

I had a great experience at the Illinois MBA. I have gotten great exposure to different cultures and how business is conducted internationally throught the intrpersonal experineces with my classmates. — Finance

Program is very bad. Very unorganized. Poor quality of classmates. — Finance

The career services at the school are not great. All of us had to use all the extra career fairs in order to get more interviews. I am sure they are working in improving this area, but it may take too long unless a drastic change happens. — Operations

Career services is much inexperencied, the buiding is too old not providing the appropriate infrastructure (new building will only be done by the end of 2008), and city is monotonous. On top of that, knowledge sharing among students is almost inexistent and some courses have different (and poor) professors assigned every single year. — Information Technology

If cost is an issue, I would certainly say that University of Illinoin-Urbana Chamapign MBA program was by the least expensive in terms of tuition and living expenses than my other friends in other MBA programs. Also, I beleive I received more than my monies worth in terms of value of education. — Information Technology

The combination of education, practical application of learning via consulting opportunities, and leadership opportunities in a supportive, family-like atmosphere was worth every penny and minute of time. — Consulting

I really enjoyed the Illinois MBA Experience. I feel confident and prepared to enter my job and make a difference. — Operations

The MBA Finance concentration gave me thorough knowledge of the finance industry form scratch in just two years. This was possible through excellent faculty, classmates, seminars and competitions. — Entrepreneurship

UIUC has a nice campus and living expense is low. The peopel here are nice and kind. It is a secure place to live and study. — Finance

B-schools haven’t been immune to the feeling of anger at those behind the attacks and the government – www.tenaday.in

December 12, 2008

For more information and FREE online practice tests visit www.tenaday.in

New Delhi: How would you have dealt with terrorists taking over your company’s hotel or office?
That’s the question students at New Delhi’s Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) and the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIM-B) are answering or getting ready to answer.
November’s terror attacks in Mumbai, where Indian Hotels Co. Ltd’s Taj Mahal hotel and East India Hotels (EIH) Ltd’s Oberoi-Trident hotel were extensively damaged have introduced terror into B-school curricula.
At FMS, questions on how managers can cope with and respond to terror attacks have become part of a corporate strategy class taught by J. Mitra, dean of the school.
At IIM-B, associate professor Amit Gupta plans to introduce a module on crisis management, including coping with terror attacks, into a course in leadership and change management that he teaches. “It was unprecedented,” said Gupta, referring to the attacks. “(I don’t think) any of our organizations can respond to armed terrorists entering their premises. What could be the response?”
B-school campuses haven’t been immune to the overwhelming feeling of anger at the perpetrators of the terror attacks and the government that pervaded most large cities. The attacks were also aimed at crippling the economy and, from the students’ point of view, placements on campuses.

“They (terrorists) are attacking the economy,” said Deepti Pillai, who heads the student council at the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) in Mumbai. “A lot of lateral thinking is coming out of it,” she added, referring to the ideas coming from students on how to cope with terror attacks. The school’s social responsibility cell plans to conduct a workshop on the topic in February.
“It was really, really heated,” FMS student Shivani Poddar said of the corporate strategy class. “It was about how all of us will have to deal with it (terror) tomorrow. The chairman of Yes Bank (Ashok Kapur; he was killed in the attacks) was there. I personally know a CFO who was living in the Taj (at that time)”.
Poddar said one of the suggestions which came up was that conglomerates such as the Tata group—of which Indian Hotels is a part—need to have an internal crisis management team.
At IIM Bangalore, C. Sathyanarayanan, a first-year student, said he would opt for the course offered by Gupta. “I am interested in any organization that has to deal with change.”

SCHOOL COMMENTS

School Comments:

N/A

There are more self-made successful people at Georgetown than I found at other schools, which means they are more down to earth, helpful, and hard-working. I couldn’t imagine a better group of people with whom to share two difficult years of my life. — Finance

Georgetown’s MBA program helped me achieve my goals, but I have seen many classmates return to their pre-MBA employers because Georgetown did not help them advance in their careers. — Consulting

Georgetown, regrettably, seems to be a “me-too” b-school. The level of education and instruction was below what should be expected from a school of Georgetown’s stature. Some of the core course professors had no prior teaching experience. — Finance

Ultimately, I landed a great position with a top management consulting firm, which is what I came back to school for. — Consulting

The biggest complaint that many students have is the lack of strategic vision from the school. There have been three or four deans in a short period of time, and the school has not identified its core capability or its position among its peers. — Finance

The courses challenged me, but not so much that I felt I could not complete the coursework. The class size was small enough that I knew everyone, but big enough that there were diverse experiences to learn from. — Marketing

The quality of teaching could be better at a top 15 school. Also, recruiting is somewhat challenging because recruiter diversity is limited. — Finance

While I am happy with my experience, Georgetown did not draw the marketing/brand opportunities that many other programs did. As a result, 85% of my internship search and 100% of my full-time job search was focused on non-Georgetown Career Management opportunities. — Marketing

Georgetown is a smaller, intimate program that doesn’t have the attitude of larger MBA programs. — Marketing

As Georgetown climbs in the rankings, more high-quality companies are recruiting on-campus. For example, Goldman Sachs, Nike, and Yahoo all came here for the first time this year. — Finance

Georgetown has a great international focus and is well-positioned in Finance, Marketing, and Consulting. Students have been extremely successful in landing internships and full-time jobs with companies that do not recruit on campus, largely because of the school’s reputation. — Investment Banking

The Washington, D.C. experience was great. I lived in Georgetown, next door to George Stepanopolous and around the corner from Bob Woodward, and I interned at a real-estate fund across from the White House. It was like living on a movie set. — Consulting

The workload can be daunting because of the quarter system, and finals can clash with crucial recruiting times. — Venture Capital/Private Equity

Being in D.C., we are close to a number of other key cities (i.e., NYC) and get great access to some of the best minds in the world. We have had on-campus events with people like Christopher Cox, Warren Buffett, Rupert Murdock, Jim Cramer, and Bill Clinton, to name a few. — Investment Banking

The Georgetown MBA program is relatively young (~25 years old), and it operates in the shadow of the School of Foreign Service and the Law School. But the quality of education I received here was fantastic. — Finance

D.C. isn’t for some people, and highly competitive people aren’t really appreciated in our culture. We like smart, capable people, but they better be nice and fun, too. — Marketing

The program curriculum is alright but the profile of the students are outstanding and the chemistry among us is awsome. I believe it’s this very point that distinguish our program from others, however, I don’t think it’s able to duplicate the same experience. — Marketing

The school’s location and brand name are of high value. The full-time MBA program is very intensive and it is an effective preparation for someone who wants to take on jobs that require graduate level degrees. — Consulting

A few unprofessional faculty members were a turnoff. — Operations

GW provides a uniquely collaborative learning environment that I would highly recommend. — Consulting

George Washington University offers a niche program; it was a good fit for me but it’s not for everyone. I found the small class size and the international orientation of the program to be very valuable. — Nonprofit

I benefited tremendously from the GW Full-Time MBA program and I think that it is only going to get stronger moving forward. The new facilities were a big plus and the program office is making some improvements to the curriculum, such as having a required international experience, that will make it even more attractice in the future. — Consulting

The school offers good quality of professors, accomodating academic staff, best facility and good environment. The school also have many student chapter and organization for student to be involved. — Finance

GW’s MBA program is constantly evolving. Despite the institution having strong brand recognition, the MBA administrative staff have and continue to take steps toward improving upon an already strong program. It signals their desire to see the program become as competitive as any top tier MBA program. — Marketing

I found the program very enriching and challenging. GW’s location in DC is another great strength and adds immense value to the program and the overall experience. I would therefore highly recommend the program to friends/colleagues. — Entrepreneurship

The GW full-time MBA Program is not for everyone. It is a very small program and requires a lot of time and effort from the students. Students need to be self-starters and have a desire to make an impact on their program and on their classmates. Before recommending the program, I urge friends and colleagues to do research on why they want to go back to get their MBA and on the GW full-time MBA Program. — Finance

The program has a strong environmental management and public policy/strategic management program that reflects GW’s DC roots. For those interested in the intersection of policy and business there are few better programs. — Consulting

Great for people who wish to a large variety of topics and backgrounds. — Consulting

On paper, I was not initially impressed with GW’s MBA program, and thought I would be attending Georgetown or BU. But after visiting all three campuses, meeting students and faculty, and attending classes, it was GW that I liked the most. — Consulting

GW attracts a unique group of students interested in environmental policy and non profit management. The concentration system is an important part of the culture at GW and my fellow students played a significant role in my educational experience. I think GW’s career center could do a better job providing NGO and government connections and placements. — Consulting

I greatly enjoyed my experience with GWU; it was a great fit for me. It is definitely a program on the rise and I look forward to remaining an active alumni and seeing the program’s continued development. — Human Resources

Fellow students attracted made the experience what it was. Extremely team oriented people made learning experience more enjoyable. — Consulting

GW has a great set of professors and I also had the opportunity to meet fellow – students of a high calibre, which enhanced the quality of the program. The location too was very advantageous and significantly contributed towards making the overall exprience very enriching. — Entrepreneurship

The GW MBA program gave me the tools for success in the professional world. I would highly recommend it to everyone. — Finance
